A Full Moon in Virgo as the Pisces season begins, what a beautiful opposition we have here!

The Pisces season is about releasing the floodgates—about waves of inspiration but also of emotions. Pisces is very focused on love in the broadest sense and very open to others and to experiences. And everything is experienced powerfully. This aligns with the general energy of a Full Moon: just as the moon fills with light, we gather energy, emotions, and ideas, to reach an often intense climax.
And the Moon is closely linked to water, tides, yin polarity, and the sacral chakra. Just like the sign of Pisces whose element is, without much surprise, water; thus exacerbating imagination and amplifying emotions.

Yes, but this Full Moon will rise in Virgo. Now, Virgo is down-to-earth, pragmatic, organised, and perfectionistic.
So, it's an interesting parallel we have here; seemingly contradictory energies meeting. It's the ant visiting the grasshopper, the tidy accountant meeting the colourful hippie.
But these energies are not as antithetical as they may seem! The Cosmos actually offers us an opportunity to work on aligning forces that can be complementary.

For example, it's an opportunity to make a list of all the project ideas or creations that come to mind this week, then tap into the energy of the Full Moon in Virgo to establish an effective way to bring them to fruition.
Or take some time to return to your centre, assess your emotional, psychological, and energy state of the past few weeks, and gain perspective to identify what constitutes a useful message sent by your soul, and what you can let go of.

If you want to formalise it and take the time for a real Moon ritual, you will need:

  • Paper and a pen + optional creative material

  • A white candle and a black candle

  • An amethyst or lapis lazuli

  • An aventurine, howlite, or amazonite

  • Mint leaves, ginger, and half a lemon

  • Dried sage or Palo Santo

As usual, if you lack elements, feel free to substitute them with something similar (for example, mint leaves for a mint tea bag) or whatever inspires you.

According to your convenience, you can spread the ritual over several days to truly allow the energies to infuse.
Preferably at the beginning of this week preceding the Full Moon, settle comfortably in a quiet place and light the white candle to open the circle. Take the amethyst or lapis lazuli in your right hand and form the Gyan Mudra with your left hand (tips of the thumb and index finger joined, other fingers extended). Close your eyes. Take seven long breaths and, with each exhale, observe the thoughts sent by your mind dissipating.
Then, without imposing any particular expectation, observe the sensations that come to you. Images may appear, or sounds, music. You may feel tension or relaxation in any part of your body. Maintain this state of simple observation, and if you identify intrusive thoughts, simply exhale them. It's up to you to distinguish between the words and ideas arising from meditation, and intrusions from your mind, that control freak (for example, if you see the image of a boat, it may be a message worth analysing; however, if it's your shopping list that appears, you know it's the mind and you can shut it down for a moment).
Accept that information comes to you in whatever form. Let your subconscious, your soul, your heart, or even your magical team, communicate with you and guide you.
Then, ask yourself: How do I feel? Observe your breath, your sensations, the words or phrases that arise, the colours it may inspire you. Maintain this meditative state for as long as you wish. Then, open your eyes, and note everything that has come to you, everything you have felt. Write it as it comes, without necessarily trying to make sense of the flow of information. If you feel like drawing or transcribing the experience in any other way, let your imagination run wild!
When you're done, take a deep breath in and, as you exhale, blow out the candle to close the circle.
Leave your sheet filled with notes (and possible illustrations of all kinds) on your altar or in an accessible place so you can easily return to it. Over the following days, complete it with other information or sensations that may come to you, answering the question "How do I feel?".
This question is broad, it encompasses your general well-being.

On the evening of the Full Moon, infuse the mint and ginger (I'll let you dose to your taste) and add the juice of the squeezed half-lemon.
You can then settle comfortably with the aventurine (or howlite or amazonite) in your left hand, and light the white candle to open the circle.
Read over your notes and take the time to analyse what comes out of them, to extract the wisdom that has been transmitted to you, and to make a complete assessment of how you feel, today, in your life. If you wish, you can rewrite everything that you judge useful for your future evolution and that you want to keep. Then, light the black candle, and read aloud everything on your list that no longer serves you. After that, burn the paper with the flame of the black candle (preferably over a glass or cast iron container). If you prefer to keep the original, copy everything you want to get rid of onto a separate sheet and burn that one.
When you're done, drink your infusion to purify yourself and dispel stagnant energies that have become unnecessary in your life. In doing so, you make room to integrate the new reprogramming that may have come to you and to build whatever comes next for you on solid foundations.
If you want to go further, I also invite you to fumigate your space with sage or Palo Santo to amplify the purification process and facilitate the renewal of energies.
When you feel ready, first blow out the black candle, maintain the intention of remaining open to possibilities, and then blow out the white one to close the circle.
