Full Moon in Scorpio
RITUAL
How are you after so many major astrological events combined and such intense and directive energies? Personally, I definitely felt it all quite literally.
In case you haven't been keeping up too much and are interested, here's a brief summary:
Eclipse Season began by mid-March, bringing a vibe of "Anything is possible, but watch out." During an eclipse, the energy of one of our two major polarities disappears for a brief moment, disrupting the yin-yang balance and bringing the remaining polarity into the spotlight. With consecutive lunar and solar eclipses, significant questions of identity resurfaced. And as this all unfolded during Aries season (our beloved impulsive, very fuego loco sign), coupled with a charming Mercury retrograde sooooo boom: chaos.
Additionally, we had a major conjunction with Chiron, the wounded healer, which may have brought forth buried traumas requiring immediate attention.
If you didn't quite understand, don't worry. In short, it was a mess, but things should start to calm down in the coming days.
Hence, the absence of rituals during this time (during eclipse season, the energy is too volatile, so it's better to observe the Universe at work and thank it for all that we already have).
And hence the importance of this Full Moon in Scorpio, which is full of magic, and the opportunity to slowly begin manifesting again.
Be warned, though; with Scorpio, comes the resurfacing of matters hiding in the depths of your soul, in the abyss of your emotions, and other introspective pirouettes. So, I can't guarantee that it'll be a walk in the park. But as soon as the Moon begins to wane, so will the intensity (plus, Mercury will end its retrograde in the following days, and we can finally breathe).
That's why I came up with a two-step ritual, for which you'll need:
Something to write with
Dried sage
A black candle and a white candle
A vegetable oil of your choice
Patchouli and true lavender essential oils
Cinnamon
I'll repeat it once more: nothing here is obligatory! If you're missing some elements, adapt your practice according to your means and desires!
Firstly, these past few weeks have been charged, intense. Their role was to bring forth buried wounds to force us to heal and transmute them. Questions of identity, essence of being, and assertion of yourself and your ideals might also have been raised.
It's been quite a necessary task, accelerating our evolution for our greater good. But to fully embrace these new 2.0 versions of ourselves, we need to make space.
So, light the black candle, and make a list of everything you identify as an old version of yourself—everything that no longer resonates with you, all the traumas you've managed to shed that no longer influence who you are. All the old habits, beliefs, and patterns that no longer vibrate at the same frequency as you.
Become aware of the journey you've made as you write these lines, as you shed this shell you no longer fit into. You've moulted.
If you want to keep a record, take a photo of your list.
Then fold the paper in half away from you. Rotate it anticlockwise, and fold it outward again. Rotate to the left, and fold once more.
Above a cast iron or glass container, burn the paper with the flame of the black candle, and watch all that transmuted energy rise in smoke and return to the Universe.
Then, purify your space by smudging with sage (with the windows open, so you don't suffocate and allow everything that needs to be released to go).
Blow out the candle.
Secondly, the Full Moon in Scorpio allows you to journey to the deepest parts of yourself, to shed light on emotions, but also on buried resources within you—treasures your soul holds that will help you embody the truth that fills your heart with joy.
Moreover, we've just experienced a Jupiter-Uranus conjunction at 21° in Taurus, a key event that may have brought forth ideas that will revolutionise your life for the next fourteen years, flashes of genius illuminating the path to more bliss and abundance.
So, why not channel all these mystical energies and concentrate them into a little potion, to be able to enjoy them all year round?
Light the white candle.
Breathe deeply and slowly three times. Dive inward and allow yourself to be traversed by emotions, thoughts, ideas. Let your soul whisper its messages to you.
Maintain this introspective state as you craft your magical inspiration potion.
In a small, transparent glass container, mix:
3 tablespoons of vegetable oil (my favourites are coconut for more softness or jojoba—which is a dry oil—for more lightness)
5 drops of patchouli EO
7 drops of true lavender EO
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
⇢ If your cinnamon is in flakes or sticks, crush it in a mortar beforehand.
Make sure you're stirring clockwise the whole time.
Once finished, join your hands in front of your chest and give thanks.
Blow out the candle.
Charge your potion under the rays of the Full Moon in Scorpio, remembering to bring it in before sunrise.
Apply it to your skin whenever you want to connect with your soul and draw out the hidden inspiration from the magical depths of your being.
❂ Thank you ❂
